Ticks! Unfortunately ticks can be a problem in this area, I know from experience wearing shorts in dense bracken! So look at this advice from Tick Alert on prevention and how to extract ticks if you need to. The map shows that at the moment there are no tick borne diseases to worry about in Spain. AVOID dense or tall bracken.
