For a different walking environment, or a change of weather, head south from Rioseco to the Puerto de Tarna and to the southern side of the Cordillerra Cantábrica towards the reservoir at Riaño. Here you'll find Mampodre and other mountains in the Parque REGIONAL de los Picos de Europa.
